Professional Background

Kevin worked in the financial services sector for thirty three years, retiring as Head of Learning & Development at AIB Group in 2012. Other roles included; Strategic Planning facilitation, Head of Change Management and in a senior business development role Kevin was accountable for all aspects of business planning, financial planning and performance management across 65 Bank Branches. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Banking in Ireland and a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council.

Experience

Kevin has worked on development programmes, change management initiatives and coaching assignments with CEO’s, board members, senior management, their teams, and at an individual level, in Financial Services, Telecoms, Professional Services, Engineering, Not-For-Profit, Pharmaceutical, Catering, Utilities, Health and Retailing sectors. He has experience of working with people in both the Private and Public Sectors and also works with Elite Athletes as part of a Personal & Professional Development Programme. Kevin is a Tutor on the UCD Smurfit; Post Graduate Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching, the UCD/ICON certificate in international business management and the Influence & Persuasive Communications Course. He is a member of the UCD Smurfit Business School coaching supervision panel and the MBA coaching panel.

Coaching Philosophy

Kevin is passionate about helping people to improve their performance and reach their potential by raising their self-awareness around their attitude, assumptions and behaviours and the impact these have on their effectiveness. He enjoys assisting people to become more effective managers and leaders by identifying and addressing the interferences that limit their capacity to perform to the best of their ability. His coaching style is a combination of challenging and supportive coaching interventions focusing on developing an individual’s strengths to achieve sustainable results and personal fulfilment.

Qualifications

Kevin holds a Master of Arts Degree in Change Management and a post graduate Diploma in Business Research both of which he received from the University of Brighton. He holds a post graduate Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching and a Certificate in Coaching Supervision both of which he received from the UCD, Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin. He is accredited by the British Psychological Society, in Ability & Personality assessment.
