Aidan Flynn

Aidan Flynn (FCIPD) is an engaging facilitator and Coach who specialises in Leadership and Management Development working with a range of people managers from new team leaders to senior managers.  He has had extensive experience of delivering management development programmes in both the private and public sector, which were accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Strathclyde University.

 

Prior to joining Taylor Clarke, Aidan had several roles with A G Barr Soft Drinks plc including leadership of the L&D Team.  His key responsibilities at Barr included, Leadership development, Performance Management design and process, Team Development, Employee Engagement, Investors in People accreditation and developing and embedding their award-winning Behavioural framework.

Prior to joining Barr Soft Drinks, he worked for 15 years in the public sector with Strathclyde Regional Council and Glasgow City Council in a variety of HR and L&D roles. Aidan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds a Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring from the ILM, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Strathclyde University.  Aidan is a Member of the British Psychological Society and is MBTI, OPQ 32 and DISC accredited.

Key Pieces of Work

​

Delivery of a 5 day People Management Development Programme for a major plc in the House Building and Construction industry aimed at building management and leadership capability.  Modules delivered included Knowing and Managing Self and others, Managing for Results, Selecting and Developing Your Team and Managing for Organisational Success

 

 

Delivery of a 3 day Internal Consultancy Skills workshop for Managers within the construction industry.  This programme is designed for service department professionals who need to work collaboratively with others to problem solve, transfer knowledge and increase capacity and productivity; in other words, as internal consultants.

 

What makes him laugh?  ‘Only very silly things make me laugh and I have a natural ability to laugh at myself !
