Taylor Clarke Burns Supper 2010

Oran Mor

Over 120 guests attended this year's Burns Supper which was held in the beautiful and atmospheric auditorium of Oran Mor in Glasgow's West End.  The food, wine and hospitality were excellent.

Once again our performers were fantastic, we seem to go from strength to strength and our brave and talented singers and speakers are indeed hard acts to follow.  This year we were entertained by:

  • John Johnstone. Director of Human Resources, Standard Life UK Financial Services
  • Enda Logan, CEO, The Fifth Business
  • Claire Higgins, Organisational Change Team, Glasgow City Council
  • Bob Reid, Senior Associate, Taylor Clarke Partnership
  • Peter Nicholson, Group Head of Human Resources, John Wood Group Plc
  • Valerie Cowie, Associate, Taylor Clarke Partnership
  • Anne M Houston, Senior Associate, Taylor Clarke Partnership

Ceilidh dancing was once again facilitated by Chitterybite.

Enda Logan from our partner company the Fifth Business is  a quick witted Irishman with a true gift of the Blarney who has now spoken at three of our Burns Suppers  So much of Enda’s renditions are drowned out by laughter that this year I asked him to send me a copy of his Immortal Memory. If you would like a copy please email me at margaret@taylorclarke.co.uk

Perhaps by posting some of the welcome feedback all of you will get an idea of just how successful the evening was.  Thanks to all of you who contributed to the enjoyment of our Burns Supper 2010.

Many thanks for an excellent evening on Friday.  It was definitely one the best Burns Suppers I have ever experienced - quite remarkable given that such client-related events often lack some of the warmth and personal touches that mark the best of such evenings - that was not the case on Friday.  It is certainly to TCP's credit that its relationship with its staff / associates / clients is such that an evening like Friday can be such a success.

I hope that you all managed to enjoy yourself as well and take a turn on the dance floor - it was a great band”.

I wanted to pass on thanks from myself and Jacqueline for Friday's Burns Supper. It felt like a family gathering where you had people from the audience contributing to the night's success as opposed to paid "celebrities" doing the entertainment. It certainly made it a unique occasion.
