Laurence Clarke managing director at the Taylor Clarke Partnership Ltd said: “Our partnership with Robert Gordon University has helped us to create a really unique training programme and the support which they have provided us has helped to provide us with a different vision.
“The standard of finals at this year’s National Training Awards has been extremely high and it is a huge testimony to the commitment that businesses are showing towards the importance of training. It is therefore a great honour to receive a Scottish Training Award and I hope that this will encourage others to focus on the importance of training their employees to help raise moral and improve performance.”
Damien Yeates, chief executive of Skills Development Scotland, said: “My congratulations go out to all our winners and finalists who made this year’s National Training Awards a night to remember. They have provided us with a great range of examples of innovative and dynamic training models, which have worked well to allow their businesses to grow and expand.
“The continuing success of the National Training Awards is testament to the calibre of training that more and more Scottish businesses are carrying out. Organisations, big and small, recognise the importance of having a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
“When times are tough and budgets tight, training is often one of the first areas to suffer in business. However as the finalists this year have highlighted, it is vital that businesses throughout Scotland continue invest in their staff through training and development, ensuring that they remain as productive as possible and continue to have a positive impact on the Scottish economy.”
