Taylor Clarke Wins Glasgow Business Award

Laurence receiving the award from Bryan Burnett and Julian Westaby of Sponsors, Dunning Design

We are delighted to announce that we received the Glasgow Business Award for Best Performing Business (25 employees or under) at the recent Awards Dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 23rd October 2008. We and other winners are featured on Glagow Chamber of Commerce's website http://www.glasgowbusinessawards.org/news.html

Taylor Clarke won due to our success in building strong relationships at home and abroad and achieving steady growth and financial stability.  Turnover has increased six fold over the past 7 years with a significant profit in the past year.

Because of this significant profit we also entered the Business Deal of the Year category and were thrilled to be finalists for this Award but were beaten by worthy winners Clyde Blowers.

The focus of this entry and the reason behind our significant increase in Turnover was due to our winning a major contract in November 2007 with Yemen LNG (YLNG) a joint venture company formed by the Yemeni Government and a group of eight different private shareholders who design, construct and operate a Liquefied Natural Gas Plant to extract, refine, market and export the LNG produced.

The project branded “Project Excellence” is a company wide cultural change project delivered in the Yemen by a team of seven Taylor Clarke Consultants led by Alistair Brown.   Project Excellence is Taylor Clarke’s largest ever single contract delivered within a 12 month period during its 25 year history.

Our success in being recognised in this way is undoubtedly due to the support we have received from clients and all the consultants and staff here at Taylor Clarke.  Thanks to all.
